Western North Music Awards to open nominations on September 1st

 Iconz Media, organisers of the prestigious Western North Music Awards (WENMA) have announced the return of the awards scheme after a long break. The announcement was made on social media with a very colorful artwork with a new and spectacular redesign. The opening of this year’s nomination was made known to artists and industry players through an official communique signed by the Head of Communications of Iconz Media, Mr. Robert Fiifi Mensah. With their ambition to make the return exclusive and unique, they have affirmed that artists and industry professionals who released projects between 1st October 2023 to 1st September 2024 would be eligible to submit their entries. He revealed this during an interview with Waxmiliean on “Y3Y3 NZU” shown on Sefwiman and Sefwi Stars TV. John Nack also narrated that the way the people of Cote D'Ivoire play, dance, relate to Sefwi songs and artists is encouraging more than Sefwi people. Enter Evans Apraku Boadi, a visionary dedicated to revitalizing the theatre culture in the Western and Western North Regions. Evans Apraku Boadi is an alumnus of Sefwi Bekwai Senior High School, graduating in 2009. He pursued his bachelor's degree in English Language and Literature at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), completing his studies in 2014. At KNUST, his passion for acting soared as he took on several stage roles, even sharing the stage with prominent Ghanaian actress Naa Ashorkor. Currently, Apraku Boadi serves as a lecturer at Ahantaman Senior High School, where he heads the school's drama troupe. Global Info Analytics drops analysis on EC Registration

 In 2020, Nana Addo was affected by the ill-informed decision of EC to register SHS students in their schools.  Global InfoAnalytics has today made a post comprising 2016 - 2024 EC registration.  On voting day, the students who had been registered had vacated and could travel back to their schools on election day to vote. In the final Global InfoAnalytics poll published on 4th December 2020 , Nana Addo had a 20% lead over John Mahama among first-time voters but the outcome of the 2020 election suggests the 20% lead disappeared as they could not vote.  DJMexes, an award winning Ghanaian Disc Jockey, has expressed strong criticism of radio stations that fail to pay their employees. DJMexes has emphasized the importance of radio station managers paying their DJs and presenters without subjecting them to additional duties such as marketing. In his opinion, radio stations must pay their DJs and presenters without expecting them to bring in advertisements before payment is made. DJMexes considers it to be unethical to delay the payment of DJs and presenters. Furthermore, DJMexes has urged radio stations to hire professional marketers to bring in advertisements instead of placing that responsibility on DJs and presenters.
