Global Info Analytics drops analysis on EC Registration

 In 2020, Nana Addo was affected by the ill-informed decision of EC to register SHS students in their schools. 



Global InfoAnalytics has today made a post comprising 2016 - 2024 EC registration. 

On voting day, the students who had been registered had vacated and could travel back to their schools on election day to vote. Students are now been given 4 days to return home to register. Vey wise decision Electoral Commission Ghana.

In the final Global InfoAnalytics poll published on 4th December 2020 , Nana Addo had a 20% lead over John Mahama among first-time voters but the outcome of the 2020 election suggests the 20% lead disappeared as they could not vote. Who wins the first time voters in December 2024? Currently, the poll suggests JDM has 19% lead over DMB, a reversal of fortunes compared to Nana Addo in 2020. 


In 2020, we estimated average turnout of 80%, it was 79%. Turnout was expected to be higher among older voters compared to first time voters.


The poll also showed that voters assessed their economic and personal living condition more positively when compared to 2016. However, the polls are pointing to a completely different situation in 2024. 51% of voters say their living standards have gotten worse in the last 12 months.
